Many of the families around the Revels in Robeson and Sampson County, NC like the Chavis, Locklear, Lowry and Sweat family are mostly Haplogroup E families. Most are E-M2 and some are E-M35. There is some who are Haplogroup Q like the Rewis and the Lowry family. Only Nathaniel Revels and very few people had the Haplogroup O in this area. Nathaniel Revels is the only one who was found in Edgecombe County Court Record showing his mother was an Unmarried woman with the last name Revels and Nathaniel Revels who was bonded out to Mary Fort. Benjamin Bunn who was a neighbor to Edmond Revel 1720-25 was married to a Mary Fort which I Don’t believe is the same Mary Fort who Nathaniel Revels was bonded out to, being the fact that it would have said in the court record Mary Bunn. Mary Fort Bunn mother was Mary, but she had died before the bond date of the court record.

In the 1800 Census in Sampson County, NC, Nathaniel Revels is on PAGE 35 and Elijah Revels 1770 is on page 34. The Descendants from Nathaniel Revels are a O-BY60500 and one descendant from Elijah Revels 1770 is a E-Z37468. Hiram Rhodes Revels shows to be a E-Z37468 based on his brothers Male Descendant Revels male tester.
