Revell Henrico Group

R-FT410866 Is a Revell Group from England and some of their descendants are still in England today and some went to France and America. So far, the ones that went to America is John Revell who went to Henrico County, Virginia in 1652. It is possible that Edward Revell who left France to Virginia in 1696 is also a R-FT410866. We’ve taken yDNA from the Male Revell descendants of John Revell 1652 and Male Descendants of Durham Revill in South Carolina and they had both matched in BigY DNA.

The Revell 410866 Henrico America group matched up to two British descendants who have known British lineages for more than 700 years.

They’re an older SNP that formed sometime between 1200 to 1650 with a Private Variants of 4. I suspect if we were to get more BigY DNA Testers from England and North France to test, they will match to the R-FT410866 or R-FT388383 Group.

R-FT410866 formed sometime between 1450 to 1650. This SNP Includes Descendants from Wayne and Northampton County, NC and Northern Part of South Carolina. Northwest Florida and the East part of Alabama are also R-FT410866 lineage. R-FT410866 has 1 known SNP Branch, which is R-FTC11031. R-FTC11031 Formed sometime between 1820 and 1860. This line is mainly the Revel clan who went to Montgomery County, Alabama.

It is very important not to get this Revell group confused with the other British Revell group who came from Randall Revell 1613 to Somerset County, MD and not to get them confused with the Revel-Revels who were descendants from the Whitish Moors. This Revell group lived mostly near the Revel-Revels Whitish Moors Group but are very different from each other. Some seem to be related to each other through AutosomalDNA but from different surnames. Meaning that some of the Revels down in Florida are related to the Driggers, Faircloths, and Sterlings to which they’re also related to John Revell 1630 rather if it’s up in the family line or down in the family line. Connie Revelle Christison and Rene Rylander both have been working on the R-FT410866 group for years and know their family lineage pretty well.
